These championships recognize the outstanding efforts of riders in each USDF region and provide an excellent opportunity for spectators to view the top competitors in their respective regions. Additionally, the top amateur and open riders at each of the championships, who have submitted a declaration of intent, and completed all other requirements, will receive an invitation to compete at the US Dressage Finals presented by Adequan®.
Kathy Sedlak of Great American Insurance Group added, "Our role as title sponsor of the regional championships has afforded a great opportunity to acknowledge outstanding individuals and the sport of dressage."
Competitors qualify for Great American/USDF Regional Championships by competing in designated qualifying classes throughout the year at USDF-recognized dressage competitions. For more information on the regional championship program, or the US Dressage Finals presented by Adequan®, visit the USDF website at www.usdf.org or contact email@example.com.
Go from the Pilates studio to the saddle and on to the success with your horse you have been looking for!
Enjoy a dinner and PowerPoint lecture on Pilates for Dressage® presented by Janice on Friday evening. On Saturday morning, riders engage in a two-hour Pilates for Dressage® Mat Class that teaches the riders how to find the correct core and intrinsic muscles that allow for relaxation in the global muscles. After lunch, riders mount up for a private half hour lesson and learn how to put the studio work into the saddle.
Sunday, riders reinforce what they’ve learned in another two-hour mat class. The weekend finishes with mounted lessons, as riders are newly secure in their newfound ways to use their body to create harmony with their horse.
REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN
Mark your calendars for our annual adult clinic! All riders over 21 are invited to participate in three days of both mounted and unmounted lessons from highly renowned dressage trainers Kathryn Fleming-Kuhn and Martin Kuhn! The Dressage Show and Fix-a-Test Clinic is a great opportunity for horses and/or riders who are new to competing gain real show experience in a low key environment. It is also ideal for those who just what to improve their competition rides and work through imperfections they may encounter during the test.
Riders may choose to simply ride dressage test, participate in the clinic which includes an assisted warm up and 'fix a test'. Those participating in the assisted warm up will work with Kyle Smith (ICP Certified Instructor & CCI** competitor) for the last 20 minutes of your warm up to prepare you for your ride. You will then ride the test for the show and be judge by Jackie Smith (USEF Licensed Judge, ICP Certified Instructor & CCI** competitor). If you are riding in the 'Fix a Test' Jackie will then critique the ride and assist the rider with problem spots immediately before riding your second test. You may ride the same test twice or choose to ride a different test for your second ride but be sure to make note of that when signing up.
